A Salute...

  • to all the sore backs, hips, and necks that bear the worries of the heart and mind
  • to all the resilient survivors of trials instant and chronic that continue to strengthen others in their times of need
  • to all the poets, known and familiar, that remind us the spirit is stronger than the flesh
  • to comfortable PJs
  • to researchers, science, and the ones who finance such curiosities
  • to innocent compassion scribbled on a page by young and old hands
  • to clergymen who supply pews, candles, and comfort for the searching souls
  • to friendship that lasts years of little contact
  • to spunky uncles with wonderfully bald heads
  • to cheerful caretakers willing to "measure my output"
  • to parents, family, and friends who love me in spite of my faults, ease my burdens so willingly, and bless my life beyond measure
  • to my God who makes everything possible and patiently shows me the miracles of His love
I Salute!

We love you, Sarah! You are such an example to me, and to everyone who knows you, of a positive outlook and pressing on.

So... Right now I am avoiding studying for my mid-term...hmmm.... I should not be saying such things with little Vikings visiting the site... So, I won't be too long, for I need to set a good example of excellent study habits... So, with that in mind, I will be brief...

Thanks, Sarah, for all that you have been and done for us. We certainly do miss you here at work, but we know that you have a different sort of task at hand; take it seriously (but not too seriously) Please know that I eagerly await any requests for things that I can do for you.

As for myself... the cruise was awesome and I can't wait 'til you're up for a visit so that I can show you my pictures! I sure do wish the room would stop moving... I guess that's a side-effect of being on a boat for 5 days!

Much love!

Roxanne

What a beautiful tribute to so many. How we love you can't be put in words. I'd call but I know how hard the act of talking must be. Keep up your spirit as your body does battle. You are sunshine in our lives and the sun, moon, stars, and the whole universe in K.C.'s. Keep shining!

Love always and forever,
Mom & Dad S

I love your tributes. Beautiful! Although I have never had a trial like yours, I do find that whenever I am struggling, making a list of things to be grateful for always lifts my spirits. Thanks for sharing. Still praying for you!

Dear Sarah and KC;
Your tribute is fantastic! Your spirit is admirable and a role model for so many of us. Uncle Boog has gone to church several times a week to light candles (a first for him - once a week is a surprise!). My wonderful friends have their various churches saying special prayers and I think of you and your family everytime I see the sun (not often in UK but amazingly lots the past two weeks) or a beautiful flower (- again lots of daffodils this year -). We Davidovacs love you very much and are sending tons of love your way, Aunt Sue and Uncle Boog.

Dear Sarah and KC;
Thanks so much for the updates in March! Your sense of humor is fantastic. Your doctors sound like characters,too. They say that humor is the best medicine.
Uncle Boog and I are thinking of you and KC and sending all sorts of good wishes.
Lots of love, Aunt Sue and Uncle Boog
